I will carry this fever as a pendant

Solo exhibition, NSFW/SVILOVA, Gothenburg, January 16 - February 20, 2026

The exhibition was lit using monofrequency lighting, which emits a yellow spectrum and limits colour perception to shades of grey and black, works in normal lighting can be seen here

From the tension between fear and fascination with death, Nina Kraul Maegaard has created "I Will Carry This Fever as a Pendant". Altering our senses and mythologies of transition, she creates an alternative reality in which we find ourselves stranded in a space between light and darkness, over and under, where the ship taking us to the other side has been suspended. Our sense of time and the awaiting promise of death are temporarily dissolved.

let it board the horse’s chariot

bringing it to the ship under

from night

and I’m not afraid to die

and I’m not afraid to die
