ABOUT
Nina Kraul Maegaard (b. 1997, Copenhagen) lives and works in Gothenburg, Sweden. She holds a BFA in Ceramic art from HDK Valand (2025), where she is currently studying her MFA.
Her practice sways between the transcendent and the material in a constant attempt to understand the mysteries of life and death, the physical and metaphysical world, and the overlapping space between the two. She gathers and transforms her ceramic materials, extracting and tracing their narratives and symbols to forge a connection between herself and the matter. Through her work with an explorative alchemical process using materials such as clay, blood, dirt, and ashes, she explores the world that came before her, the one that will follow, and the nature that surrounds and connects them.
